Enter your grading categories - homework, quizzes, exams, whatever your syllabus lists - with each one's weight and your current average. This tool computes your real current grade, correctly weighted, even while some categories are still outstanding.
Handles categories that aren't graded yetAdd at least one category to see your grade.
Once you know which category actually moves your grade, Encodr's spaced review helps you put your remaining hours where they count most.
Get started freeA weighted grade is a sum of each category's average multiplied by its weight, not a plain average of the categories themselves - a 90% in a 15%-weighted category and an 82% in a 20%-weighted category don't average to 86%; the 20%-weighted category counts more. Leave a category's average blank if it hasn't been graded yet - the calculator only divides by the weight of categories you've actually filled in, so your current grade reflects real progress instead of assuming an ungraded category as a zero. Nothing you enter is saved or sent anywhere - it's calculated entirely in your browser.
Homework, quizzes, and exams almost never count equally - here's how weighted-category grades actually work, and how to check yours mid-semester.
A unit test rewards recent, narrow review. A cumulative final rewards a completely different preparation timeline.
Participation, case write-ups, and a final exam rarely count equally - here's how to read a b-school syllabus's real weighting.
