The Glasgow Coma Scale is a core assessment idea in emergency medical services study. Encodr turns it into spaced-repetition practice so it holds until exam day.

The scale adds three components: eye opening (1 to 4), verbal response (1 to 5) and motor response (1 to 6). The lowest possible total is 3 and the highest is 15. It is usually written with the parts shown, for example GCS 13 (E4 V4 M5), because the pattern carries more information than the total alone. The severity bands shown by this tool (13 to 15, 9 to 12, 3 to 8) are the commonly taught groupings and are for study only.
